In 2013  Radio Romania launched the international radio drama festival Grand Prix Nova to celebrated its 75th anniversary. The first edition of the festival took place on September 30- October 6 in Bucharest and its aim was to demonstrate radio dramas from all around the world, to discover and promote new approaches to radio genres, breathing new life into radio drama.

Svitlana Gudz’-Voytenko, Head of Radio drama department, successfully presented radio drama “Anna Yaroslavna or Anna Regina” after the same name novel by  Ukrainian young writer Oksana Chukhlib. The Ukrainian Radio’s entry got good feedback at the festival in which entries from more than 30 countries took part.
